Through the microscope

Welcome to the inside of my microscope! I have the honor of gazing daily through the lens of a Leica A60. It allows me to see the facets of 1mm diamonds, and the minuscule marks and motions of my tiny tools. This microscope marked a major transition for me in my jewelry making trajectory. It sent me deep down the path of stones setting for fine jewelry, and I am happily lost in the woods. My favorite type of stone setting (Fishtail), would be much much more difficult without these supervillain eye enhancers.

One of the life-changing side effects is that it forces me to sit up very straight and relax my eyes. My poor crooked back has been thanking me every day since, and the strain on my eyes has lessened greatly. If you’ve ever wondered what the sweat glands between the ridges of your fingerprints look like at 30X magnification, I can tell you: very weird.
